Early Childhood

At North Perth Primary School, we believe that the early years lay the foundation for lifelong learning. Our Early Childhood Philosophy celebrates children as eager learners who thrive through play, exploration, and meaningful experiences. We provide a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels safe, supported, and a strong sense of belonging.

Our approach is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), emphasising belonging, being, and becoming, and aligns with the Western Australian Curriculum and Kindergarten Guidelines to ensure continuity and progression in learning. Through balanced opportunities for intentional play, hands-on experiences, and explicit teaching, we foster confidence, resilience, and independence.

In line with the National Quality Standards (NQS), we create environments that encourage curiosity, creativity, and agency. Our educators share a commitment to guiding each child’s learning journey, promoting inclusivity and respect, and building strong partnerships with families and the community.
