Positive Behaviour Support

PBS at North Perth Primary School

Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is our whole-school approach to fostering a positive learning environment built on strong relationships, high student engagement and improved academic and behavioural outcomes for all.

At the heart of our PBS approach are our school values: Respect, Resilience, Responsibility and Inclusivity. These values guide the behaviour of everyone in our school community. To bring them to life, our staff have developed a Behaviour Expectation Matrix, which clearly defines what these values look like in action within our school context. Expectations from the matrix are explicitly taught every fortnight, with dedicated class time to discuss, learn and practise these behaviours.

Acknowledgement to Country

We acknowledge the Whadjuk people of the Noongar nation as the traditional custodians of this country and its waters, and that North Perth Primary School stands on Noongar country. We pay our respects to Noongar elders past, present and emerging. It is a privilege to be on Noongar country.
